Building Athletes from the Inside Out
When I first started coaching kids, I noticed something. Some were naturally talented, some worked really hard, and some seemed to have all the energy in the world. But across the board, one thing was clear: success in sports—and in life—takes more than just physical ability.
That’s where the idea for Total Empowerment Training was born.
The Missing Piece
Too often, youth training focuses only on the physical—getting faster, stronger, or more skilled. And while those things matter, I saw that kids also needed tools for their mind, their emotions, and their spirit.
Because what good is a strong body if self-doubt holds you back?
What good is speed if you freeze when the pressure’s on?
What good is skill if you don’t believe in yourself?
That’s when I realized kids need to train from the inside out.
The Formula: 10 + 10
At the heart of Total Empowerment Training are two sets of skills:
The 10 General Physical Skills: strength, stamina, flexibility, coordination, balance, accuracy, endurance, agility, power, and speed. These are the building blocks of any athlete.
The 10 Empowerment Essentials: confidence, trust, awareness, fearlessness, authenticity, connection, presence, conscious choice, acceptance, and 100% energetic engagement. These are the building blocks of character.
When combined, they create something powerful. A training system that doesn’t just build better athletes—it builds stronger, more confident kids.
Why This Matters
Sports are about so much more than winning games. They’re about teaching kids resilience, leadership, and belief in themselves. They’re about giving kids the tools to push through challenges, stay focused, and bring their best effort every time—on the ice, on the field, and in life.
Every drill, every workout, every exercise in Total Empowerment Training is designed to train both body and mind at the same time. The result? Kids don’t just get faster or stronger—they get empowered.
